Registration with Mosman Netball Club
Mosman Netball Club relies on player fees to pay for equipment (balls, bibs, kit bag supplies, post pads, cones etc.), Marie Bashir Indoor Sports Centre court hire, Drill Hall court hire, outdoor court hire, grading panel, Development Coaches (for Wake-Up Netball, warm-ups, hiring coaches, overseeing the apprentice coach program, attendance at training and games, coach and player feedback) administration, training shirts, and insurance.
Registration with Mosman Netball Club for the Winter Season consists of four components:
- Netball Australia Membership (covers player insurance and PlayHQ fee),
- Netball New South Wales (the governing body of Netball in NSW),
- Northern Suburbs Netball Association (local Association responsible for running the Winter Competition in Willoughby), and
- Mosman Netball Club.
Withdrawals, Transfers and Refunds:
Registering to play with Mosman Netball Club is a commitment to play the Winter Competition, be a great team member, and part of a community sporting activity. Significant club resources are invested at the beginning of the season towards grading players and team formation.
Withdrawals
If a withdrawal is requested prior to or during grading, a partial refund will be given. This amount is minus the Netball Australia fee, which is not refundable, and a $50 Mosman Netball Club administrative fee.
If a withdrawal is requested after graded teams have been announced and prior to the commencement of Round 1 of the season, players will be entitled to a refund of the Netball NSW fee, NSNA fee, and 25% of the Mosman Netball Club registration payment.
Withdrawals after the commencement of Round 1 the season will not receive a refund.
Transfers
If a transfer is requested prior to or during grading, the transfer will be approved, and a $50 Mosman Netball Club administrative fee will be retained and deducted from the Club fee.
If a transfer is requested after graded teams have been announced, the transfer will be approved and 25% of the Mosman Netball Club fee deducted.
Transfers requested after the commencement of Round 1 of the season will not receive a refund of any portion of the Mosman Netball Club fee.
Additional Considerations
- Refunds will not be granted to withdrawals due injury or moving out of the area after the commencement of Round 1 of the season.
- Refunds from Netball NSW will be granted prior to the commencement of Round 1. After Round 1, a medical certificate will need to be provided and a refund is at the discretion of Netball NSW.
- Requests for a special consideration refund will be considered by the Committee on a case-by-case basis.
- Fee Waivers due to financial hardship (part reduction or full waivers) will be considered by the MNC Committee on a case-by-case basis, and a contract signed by both parties detailing a payment plan. Financial hardship requests will be treated in confidence by the Club.
- If a player registers more than halfway through the season (after Round 7), the Club will consider a 50% reduction in Mosman Netball Club fees.
