Mosman Netball Club

Introduction To Netball

Our Introduction to Netball Program is a wonderful way to introduce the game of netball and the relevant skill sets to our new players.

The Program

Our Introduction to Netball Program is run in term 2 and term 3. The program is specifically designed for players ready to commence their netball journey. Players will be turning 6 or 7 years of age that year and will have little or no netball experience. Our leading program is designed to introduce fundamental ball skills, footwork, balance, movement, and coordination, along with the foundations of the game.

Mosman Netball has set the benchmark in grassroots training, so come and see what all the fuss is about!  Are you ready to be the next Maddy Proud?

Please refer to our “Player Information” tab for our Club Calendar for this year’s dates.

  • The Program is held at the Drill Hall Precinct Netball Courts, Cross St., Mosman, 2088
  • We take Active Kids Vouchers for this program
  • 8-week program – 1 hour duration
  • The final week will run slightly longer (4.00 – 5.30pm) to allow our players to put their skills into practise with a mini round-robin competition. Following this, there will be a Presentation, which is a highlight for the players!

Transitioning from “The Introduction to Netball Program” to Playing in the Winter Competition

Children who have completed the Introduction to Netball Program are invited to participate in our Summer Competition in Term 4. Matches are held on Friday afternoons at either Spit West Reserve (ages 6 – 8) or Cross Street Netball Courts (ages 9 – 11).

Following one year of our Introduction to Netball Program and one Term 4 Summer Competition, your child will be ready to compete in the Winter Competition commencing in late March/early April the following year.

Please watch our website for further information regarding registrations for the Winter Competition.
